About

Brian Morris

Brian began his working life as a Chartered Surveyor, specialising in acquisitions and development, including the expansion of high-profile chains such as Country Club Hotels, Beefeater Steak Houses, TGI Fridays, Pizza Hut and Travelodge. His experience at the Burton Group spanned a wide range of retail brands, such as Dorothy Perkins, Top Shop, Burtons Menswear, Debenhams department stores and Harvey Nichols.

In 1990, Brian moved to the leisure subsidiary of Peter Beckwith's London & Edinburgh Trust plc as Property Director, where his passion for the health club sector was ignited. He acquired and developed a variety of health, fitness, tennis and golf clubs across Europe, including six Espree health and fitness clubs in the City of London, three large family-oriented clubs in the suburbs of London with indoor and outdoor tennis, the Quinto Bosco Country Club in Milan (now the Harbour Club Milano and part of the Aspria Group), three golf clubs in Portugal, Ireland and France and a multi-sport club in Scotland with indoor and outdoor tennis and an 18-hole golf course.

Brian finally joined Peter Beckwith at PMB Holdings to become Chief Executive of Aspria Holdings BV in 2000.

Throughout his career, Brian always worked with the end users of each property, whether a pizza restaurant, chic department store or exclusive golf club. This has given him an invaluable insight into the operational factors which create a successful development. He brought to Aspria not only the technical expertise to bring out the best in each property, but also the management experience and understanding to guarantee that the people who use each property benefit from its true potential. This combination of skills has proved key to Aspria's success.
